Why?

We want every young person to have the opportunity to pursue a career that will excite and fulfill them. Our role is to open eyes, to show young people what is possible: what they can achieve with commitment and effort. And we help them to develop the skills and knowledge that they need for those careers.

We also want to help companies and to make a contribution to the wider economy by providing a bridge between companies and schools.The development of vocational provision of real quality is of critical importance to the country`s economic well being. By giving young people help and direction we make it easier for companies to find recruits with the skills and attitudes that they seek.

Motivates young people, giving them direction and focus for their learning by helping them to clarify targets / ambitions.

Enhances and brings to life classroom learning, adding variety and interest to the presentation of the curriculum.

Helps younger children to make sense of the wider world and the challenges it provides and helps older children to prepare for the transition from full time education into work/further study.
