The Drapers' Company - Technical Textiles Competition
Technical Textiles is a growing field that needs scientists, engineers and technologists. Students submitting coursework demonstrating an understanding of this exciting field can win prestigious prize. Contact any regional office for opportunities to participate in your area.

This programme is aimed at promoting the vital role of engineers, engineering and technology in our society and to encourage people to pursue careers at all levels in engineering and technology—inspiring students to become Tomorrow’s Engineers. Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851
The Royal Commission is supporting educational visit experience programmes organised and completed by the Industrial Trust for young people of school age plus undergraduates. The purpose of the programmes is to, enliven Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics studies, add to curriculum learning and enhance achievement

Master Cutlers Challenge 2011
"Challenge Leads to Achievement"
The Master Cutler's Challenge, now in its fourth year, is one of the largest annual fund raising events in South Yorkshire. So far it has inspired over three hundred companies, schools and colleges to raise in excess of half a million pounds for local good causes.
This principal aim of the Challenge this year is to improve the employment prospects of 1,000 young people.

The Industrial Trust is a partner in a project to help young people (post 16) to become entrepeurs and set up their own businesses. The Trust offers students in FE colleges across Yorkshire the opportunities to:
- Visit businesses to understand what makes and keeps a business successful
- Visits to smaller businesses to help understand the challenges and benefits of running a business
- Workshops to help prepare students for a setting up their particular business.
